The Sports Direct Women’s Premiership makes its much-anticipated return this Friday evening, marking the start of what promises to be another thrilling season for female football in Northern Ireland.

The league has enjoyed a remarkable 59% increase in attendances since 2021, with over 15,000 fans attending matches in 2024 alone — a clear sign of the sport’s growing popularity.


Champions Cliftonville Ladies Open Live on DAZN

Reigning champions Cliftonville Ladies begin their title defence with a mouthwatering home clash against Linfield Women, streamed live and free on DAZN. Coverage begins from 7.45pm, with kick-off at 8.00pm at Solitude.

Cliftonville come into the new season after an unbeaten 2024 campaign, having secured every major honour available.

This match is the first of five exclusive live DAZN broadcasts this season. Last year’s DAZN partnership helped attract over 1 million views, proving the appetite for women’s football in Northern Ireland has never been higher.
