Whitehead Fire Station has bid a fond farewell to long-serving firefighter, Phil McCullough, who retired this week after an impressive 28-year career.

Phil joined the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) in 1996 and dedicated 20 years of service to the Newtownards station before transferring to Whitehead in 2016.

Colleagues described Phil as a “valued crew member and team player” who was a true asset to the station. His positive spirit and dedication will be greatly missed by all.

The station wishes Phil a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
