Update in Coleraine Murder Investigation

Detectives investigating the murder of Wayne Reid in Coleraine have been granted additional time to continue questioning suspects as the investigation progresses.
Court Extension Granted for Questioning
On Sunday, 18 January 2026, police were granted a 36-hour court extension to further question:
- Two women aged 39 and 33
- One man aged 41
All three were arrested on Friday, 16 January, on suspicion of murder.
Further Arrests as Enquiries Continue
As part of the ongoing investigation:
- A 19-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday, 17 January, on suspicion of murder.
- A 28-year-old woman, previously arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
- Two women aged 45 and 38, along with a 33-year-old man, remain in custody at this time.
Police have confirmed that enquiries are continuing and further updates will be provided as appropriate.
Investigation Ongoing
Detectives continue to work through a number of investigative lines and are urging the public not to speculate while enquiries remain active.
