Two Men Arrested After Stabbing Incident on Falls Road, West Belfast

Two men in their 30s have been arrested following a stabbing incident in the Falls Road area of West Belfast during the early hours of Monday, 26th May 2025. The victim sustained stab wounds to his hands and elbow and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Stabbing Reported in Early Hours

Police in Northern Ireland have arrested two men after a stabbing was reported in the Falls Road area of West Belfast during the early hours of Monday morning, 26th May.

According to Sergeant Patterson, officers received the initial report shortly before 2.45am, involving an altercation between two men.

Knife Attack Leaves Man Injured

It is believed that one of the men involved in the altercation left the scene, only to return moments later armed with a flick/pen knife. A fight reportedly broke out, during which the victim sustained stab wounds to his hands and elbow. He was subsequently transported to hospital for medical treatment.

Arrests Made

Two men, both aged in their 30s, were arrested:

• One on suspicion of possession of an article with blade or point in a public place
• Another on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent

Both men are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing enquiries.
