Police have released a 42-year-old woman unconditionally in connection with the murder of Sarah Montgomery in Donaghadee. A 28-year-old man remains in custody as investigations continue.


Update: Donaghadee Murder Investigation

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team have provided an update on the investigation into the murder of 27-year-old Sarah Montgomery in Donaghadee.

A 42-year-old woman, who had been arrested earlier as part of the investigation, has now been released unconditionally.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man, who was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody at this time as enquiries continue.

Ongoing Investigation

The tragic death of Sarah Montgomery has deeply affected the local community in Donaghadee and beyond. Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward as the investigation remains active.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance so far and reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice is served.
