Police Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon: Driving Under the Influence Leads to Arrest

This is the consequence of drinking and driving.

In the early hours of the 14th Dec morning, at approximately 1:30 AM, officers from C Section Armagh responded to a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision near the Moy Road, Armagh.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers conducted a roadside preliminary breath test on the driver. The result revealed a reading of 109 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath—more than three times the legal limit of 35 micrograms.

The driver was subsequently arrested for Driving with Excess Alcohol in Breath, demonstrating the dangers and legal repercussions of choosing to drive under the influence of alcohol.

The Police continue to stress the importance of road safety through initiatives such as #RoadToZero and remain committed to #KeepingPeopleSafe.

Let this serve as a reminder: never drink and drive.
