Two lorries were set on fire in Larne in the early hours of Monday, 14 July. One vehicle was badly damaged while the other sustained minor damage. Police are treating the incident as arson and are appealing for witnesses or footage.
Police are investigating a suspected arson attack following a report of two lorries set on fire in Larne in the early hours of Monday, 14 July 2025.
At approximately 4.15am, emergency services were alerted to the incident on Ballymena Road, where two parked lorries had been deliberately set alight overnight.
According to police, one lorry was substantially damaged, while the second vehicle sustained minor damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident is being treated as arson by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
“Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to get in touch,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
