Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, hosted a charity ball on Saturday 25 May in aid of her chosen charities for the year – Women’s Aid ABCLN and ‘This Is Me’ Dementia Friendly Choir.

Over 180 guests attended the black tie event to raise vital funds for these two amazing charities.

The Mayor commented: “Throughout my year as Mayor, I have been extremely humbled by the generosity of our people, businesses and community organisations in supporting my nominated Mayor’s charities. This charity ball and auction was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work they do  – all the while helping raise vital the funds they need to maintain their services.

“Both charities provide invaluable support to families and people in our society who, for various reasons, are vulnerable.  I am deeply indebted to all those who have fundraised or provided support in kind for these tremendous causes.

“Thank you to everyone who has contributed.”
