Man Sustains Serious Injury in South Belfast Assault | Police Appeal for Information

A man in his 50s was left in serious condition after three men entered a property in Claremont Court, south Belfast, and assaulted him with an unknown weapon. Detectives are appealing for witnesses, CCTV, and dash-cam footage.


Police Appeal After Serious Assault in South Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information after a serious assault in south Belfast, where a man in his 50s sustained significant injuries on Wednesday, 3 December.

The assault occurred at around 8.45pm when three men reportedly entered a property in Claremont Court and attacked the resident with an unknown weapon.

The victim suffered head and torso injuries and is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition.


Call for Witnesses and Footage

Detective Sergeant Long urged members of the public who were in the area at the time to come forward.

He said police are especially keen to receive:

  • CCTV footage
  • Dash-cam recordings
  • Any phone or doorbell camera footage
  • Witness accounts of suspicious activity
