Man Charged to Court After Knife Incident in West Belfast

A 23-year-old man has been charged following a knife incident in the Fallswater Street area of west Belfast. Charges include assault, criminal damage, and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due in court today.


Knife Incident in West Belfast Leads to Court Appearance

Police investigating an incident involving a man reportedly armed with a knife in Fallswater Street, west Belfast, on Saturday 5 July, have charged a man to court.

The 23-year-old man faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of common assault
  • Criminal damage
  • Possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence

He is scheduled to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 7 July.

As is standard procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Note: The man was aged 22 at the time of arrest.
