Man Charged to Court After Cookstown Drugs Find

Cookstown Drugs Investigation Leads to Charges

A 21-year-old man has been charged following a series of proactive police searches in the Cookstown area.

The charges include:

  • Possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply
  • Three counts of possession of Class B drugs

He is expected to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 August 2025. As is standard, the case will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Police Searches in Cookstown

The charges come after Neighbourhood, District Support, and Local Policing Teams carried out coordinated searches across Cookstown on Thursday, 21 August.

During the operation, officers searched vehicles and properties, seizing:

  • Suspected drugs
  • A quantity of cash

Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as part of wider efforts to disrupt drug-related activity in the Mid Ulster area.

Local police have highlighted that such operations demonstrate their continued commitment to tackling the supply of illegal drugs and safeguarding the community.
