Man Charged Following East Belfast Arrest

A 41-year-old man has been charged with theft and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence following his arrest in east Belfast on Tuesday, 15 July. He will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 17 July. Charges remain under review by the Public Prosecution Service.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a 41-year-old man has been charged to court following his arrest in east Belfast on Tuesday, 15 July 2025.

The man is facing two serious charges:

  • Theft
  • Possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 17 July.

As standard protocol, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
