Police investigating the fatal shooting in Maguiresbridge are seeking information on a silver Mercedes saloon seen on Tuesday 22nd July in the Clones Road area of Newtownbutler or between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler.


Detectives Appeal for Public’s Help in Ongoing Murder Investigation

Detectives from the PSNI Major Investigation Team are continuing enquiries into the murder investigation following a shooting in Maguiresbridge, County Fermanagh, on Wednesday 23rd July 2025.

Focus on Vehicle Movements: Silver Mercedes Saloon

Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness has made a specific appeal for information relating to the movements of a silver Mercedes saloon car.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we are working tirelessly to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy,” said DCI McGuinness.

Police are particularly interested in sightings of the vehicle in the following areas:

  • Clones Road, Newtownbutler
  • The route between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler

This would have been on the evening of Tuesday 22nd July, the night before the incident.

Dash-Cam Footage Could Be Crucial

Drivers who were in the area at the time and who may have captured dash-cam footage are strongly encouraged to come forward, as it could provide valuable evidence for detectives.
