Wee Critters at Whitehead Railway Museum 2026 takes place on Monday 4th May 2026 at Whitehead Railway Museum, 22 Castleview Road, Whitehead, County Antrim, BT38 9NA.

This May Bank Holiday event brings together a steam railway experience with an interactive animal education session in partnership with Wee Critters.

Your ticket includes:

A 10-minute steam train ride within the museum grounds, hauled by the 106-year-old engine No. 3BG “Guinness”
A 45-minute hands-on Wee Critters experience, featuring animals such as snakes, lizards, giant snails and small mammals
Entry to the 5-gallery museum, available to explore at your own pace
Visitors should arrive at least 10 minutes before their allocated time slot, as the time on the ticket is the departure time of the train ride.

This is a popular event with limited availability, and booking is required.

While onsite, visitors can also purchase refreshments at Cups and Carriages Café.
