Victorian Blooms & Felted Treasures Workshop 2026 will be held on Saturday 9th May 2026 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Andrew Jackson Cottage & US Rangers Museum, Carrickfergus.
This unique three-hour workshop invites you to explore the charm and symbolism of the Victorian era through the fascinating concept of Floriography, where flowers were once used to communicate hidden meanings and emotions.
Following this introduction, participants will take part in a guided needle felting session, creating a handmade floral piece to take home. The workshop is designed to be relaxed and welcoming, making it suitable for both beginners and those with some crafting experience.
Everything you need will be provided on the day, including:
A 100% wool base
Felting wool
Needles
Embroidery hoop and backing materials
This session offers a calm and enjoyable way to unwind while learning a new skill in a historic setting.
