Fourth Person Dies Following Maguiresbridge Shooting Incident

Ian Rutledge Named as Latest Fatality

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that a fourth person has died as a result of the recent shooting incident in Maguiresbridge, County Fermanagh.

The deceased has been named as 43-year-old Ian Rutledge, who was critically injured during the incident on Wednesday 23 July 2025. Mr Rutledge had been receiving treatment in hospital but passed away on the evening of Monday 28 July.


Police Renew Appeal for Information

Detectives are continuing to investigate the tragic event and have renewed their appeal for information. The PSNI is urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or who may hold any relevant information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward.
