Four Charged After Cannabis Factory Discovered

our people have been charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory uncovered during a planned police operation in the Waterside area of Derry/Londonderry.
The search took place on Thursday, 8 January 2026, and led to the arrest and charging of three men and one woman.
Who Has Been Charged?
Those charged include:
- A 60-year-old man
- A 39-year-old man
- A 37-year-old man
- A 52-year-old woman
All four face multiple drugs-related charges.
Charges Brought Before the Court
The charges include:
- Possession of a Class B controlled drug
- Possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply
- Cultivating cannabis
- Being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug
Court Appearance Details
The four accused are due to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Dungannon, on Saturday 10 January 2026.
As is standard procedure, the charges will now be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
