Forensic personnel are currently at the location of an unexpected fatality in Larne, Co. Antrim, where a resident reported hearing screams and shouts on Thursday afternoon.

As of 8:30 PM today, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is present at the Larne scene, responding to the sudden death. Forensic experts and detectives are actively conducting investigations, meticulously examining each room within a small terraced house near the main Antiville Road.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) received a call at approximately 1:07 PM this afternoon, prompting a rapid response paramedic, two emergency crews, and the Air Ambulance to attend the incident. It has been reported that a child was transported to the hospital following the occurrence.

A spokesperson from the NIAS stated, “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 1.07pm on Thursday, November 9, following reports of an incident in the Antiville area of Larne.” The rapid response paramedic, two emergency crews, and the Air Ambulance, with a HEMS crew on board, were dispatched to the scene. After initial assessment and treatment, one patient was transported by ambulance to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

At the property, which is still cordoned off by the police, various items have been removed in connection to the ongoing investigation.
