Detectives investigating a serious assault in Killyleagh on Sunday, October 22nd have made a renewed appeal for information and witnesses.

Shortly before 10am on October 22nd, police received a report that a man had been assaulted by a number of other men in the Castleview area.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for injuries to his head, hands and body. 

Officers attended and three men, two aged 44 and a 24 year old were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They were later released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 517 of 22/10/23.
