
A man in his 30s has been arrested after police recovered a suspected imitation firearm from a property in Lisburn. The arrest follows reports of a man brandishing a weapon in the area.
Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of carrying a replica firearm in a public place after receiving a report of a man allegedly brandishing a weapon at the rear of a property in Lisburn.
The report was made to officers on Sunday, 19th October, with no reports of any shots being fired.
Following a planned search of a property on Tuesday, 21st October, police recovered an imitation firearm from the address.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and remains in custody today (Wednesday, 22nd October), assisting detectives with their enquiries.
Police have confirmed that enquiries are continuing, and have appealed for anyone with information that could help the investigation to contact CID in Lisburn by calling 101 and quoting reference number 1146 of 21/10/25.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
