Carrickfergus Knights Turn Red in Honour of Liverpool FC

In a quirky display of football passion, the famous knight statues in Carrickfergus, located just across from Fisherman’s Quay, have been dressed up by enthusiastic Liverpool fans.

The statues, which are a much-loved local feature, were spotted sporting Liverpool FC hats and surrounded by red flags, proudly celebrating the club’s recent Premier League triumph.

A Local Touch of Football Fever

The light-hearted tribute adds a bit of colour and humour to the town, drawing smiles from passers-by and plenty of snaps for social media.

Locals and visitors alike have been stopping by to admire the knights’ new look, with many praising the creativity and good-natured football banter.

While some may debate club loyalty, the makeover has certainly stirred a bit of fun and added to the weekend buzz in Carrickfergus.

Community Spirit Shines Through

This isn’t the first time the Carrickfergus Knights have had a wardrobe update – from poppies to rainbow colours – but the latest makeover shows how sport continues to bring people together, even in playful rivalry.
