Appeal for information following south Belfast hit and run

Police are appealing for information following a report of a road traffic collision in south Belfast on Sunday 21st July.


It was reported that at approximately 8pm, a teenage boy was riding his bicycle on the Ormeau Road with friends when he was struck from behind by a dark blue or black coloured Ford car.


The boy was knocked to the ground however the driver failed to stop.


The victim suffered minor injuries following the fall.


Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnesses the collision or to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries to get in touch on 101 quoting reference 878 of 23/07/24.
