Appeal for Information After Report of Indecent Exposure in Derry/Londonderry

Police are appealing for information following a reported indecent exposure in Slievemore Park, Derry/Londonderry. The incident is said to have taken place around 9.45pm on Sunday 2 November, and officers have since increased patrols and conducted extensive enquiries in the area.

Police Increase Patrols and Continue Enquiries

Officers have carried out a wide-ranging investigation since the report was made, including:

  • Reviewing CCTV and other camera footage.
  • Conducting house-to-house enquiries and speaking with residents.
  • Increasing police visibility in and around Slievemore Park.

Inspector Ryan Robb from the Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team said the incident is being taken “incredibly seriously” and that investigations remain ongoing.

Description of the Suspect

The male involved is described as:

  • Approximately 5ft 6in tall
  • Of a small solid build
  • Wearing a balaclava, black hooded jacket, and black trousers

He was last seen leaving the area around 10pm, walking across the grass area toward the entrance of Slievemore Park.

Public Asked to Come Forward With Information

Inspector Robb has urged anyone who was in the area between 9.30pm and 10pm—whether walking, returning home, or inside their property—to think back and consider whether they noticed any unusual behaviour.

Police are also particularly keen to hear from:

  • Residents who have not yet spoken to officers
  • Anyone with doorbell camera, CCTV or dash-cam footage
  • Individuals aware of similar incidents in the locality
