A man has died following a collision between a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van on the Windyhill Road between Limavady and Coleraine. Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage. The road has since reopened.


Appeal for Information After Fatal Collision on Windyhill Road

The fatal collision on Windyhill Road occurred shortly after 9.45am on Thursday 20 November 2025. Police confirmed that the incident involved a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van travelling between Limavady and Coleraine.

Emergency services attended the scene, but sadly, the driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Investigation Underway

Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson from the Collision Investigation Unit said officers are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.

She confirmed that detectives are particularly keen to hear from anyone who:

  • Witnessed the collision
  • Was driving in the area at the time
  • May have captured dash-cam footage

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 381 20/11/25.

Road Reopened Following Incident

The Windyhill Road, which had been closed after the crash, has now reopened to traffic. Police thanked road users for their patience during the investigation and recovery operation.
