Authorities are seeking witnesses and information regarding an assault that took place in the Square area of Ballygowan.
Detective Sergeant Westbury reports that an 18-year-old man was attack outside of a licenced establishment at around 1am on Sunday, January 8th. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. Officials are working to determine the details of the incident and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault or have relevant information to contact the police by calling 101 and referencing reference number 326 of 08/01/23.
Additionally, those with mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the incident are encouraged to come forward. Witnesses may also use the non-emergency reporting form on the police website or submit anonymous tips to Crimestoppers.
