Detectives investigating a vehicle hijacking and subsequent security alert that occurred in the Derry Road area of Omagh on Saturday, May 6th, have successfully made two arrests.
One arrest took place on Sunday, May 7th, in the Omagh area, where a 56-year-old man was apprehended. A second arrest was carried out in the Strabane area, leading to the arrest of a 29-year-old man. Both arrests were made under the Terrorism Act, and two vehicles were seized for forensic examination.
The arrested individuals were then taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
