Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) have seized various items as a result of their searches in Newtownards.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) conducted two searches in the Newtownards area yesterday evening, Monday 20th February. The searches were part of an investigation into criminal activity connected to the East Belfast UVF.

During the searches, a number of electronic devices were recovered and subsequently seized for further examination. The PCTF has pledged to continue its efforts to tackle all forms of organised crime linked to paramilitary groups and to eliminate their impact on local communities.

Detective Inspector Maguire has commended the support of the local community in this investigation and has urged anyone with information on criminal activity to contact the police on 101.
