A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a dark grey Toyota Hilux reportedly collided with a house on Ballyconnell Road, Derrylin, causing extensive damage. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Man Arrested Following Ballyconnell Road Collision
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man following a report that a vehicle collided with a property in the Ballyconnell Road area of Derrylin, County Fermanagh.
The incident happened on Sunday night, 24 May 2026, and caused extensive damage to the house.
Police attended the scene alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
Occupants Had Left The Scene
When emergency services arrived, police discovered that the occupants of the vehicle had left before officers and fire crews attended.
The vehicle involved was described as a dark grey Toyota Hilux.
A short time later, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of:
- Driving while intoxicated
- Failing to stop, remain and report
- Dangerous driving
He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police Appeal For Witnesses
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage from the Ballyconnell Road area of Derrylin, to contact officers.
