InterTradeIreland is inviting businesses in the Ballymena and surrounding areas to their next export drop-in clinic, taking place on 5 June at the Galgorm Resort.

The event will provide businesses with a unique chance to explore trading across the border for the first time and growing cross-border sales, with free advice and support available.

Speaking ahead of the event, InterTradeIreland’s Trade Project Manager Denise Marron said:

“The aim of this event is to help local businesses get started on their cross-border export journey and to better understand the opportunities presented by trading cross-border and the support available. Cross-border trade continues to go from strength to strength and we’re excited for businesses to explore their cross-border sales and sourcing opportunities and to support them to grow and develop, every step of the way.”

One-to-one expert advice will be provided in a wide range of areas including creating an export plan, building sales techniques and navigating cross-border trade requirements. The drop-in clinic will also highlight funding and tailored support available, including InterTradeIreland’s Trade Hub, a comprehensive online hub which contains the latest customs, VAT, regulation and employment information for businesses engaged in, or planning to engage in trade between Northern Ireland, Ireland and Great Britain.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna said:

“The drop-in clinic will be a great opportunity for local businesses to hear directly from experts on hand on the day.

Council’s Business Client Managers will be there on the day too, they can chat to businesses on the wider support offering available, which could complement any support they may be able to access with IntertradeIreland.  I encourage any business owners even just wondering if they have the potential to access new markets to attend on the 5 June”.

If your business has cross-border export potential, drop in between 10.00am and 12.00pm, grab a coffee, and the team at InterTradeIreland will be ready to have that all important conversation to start your export journey.
