Police Investigate Email Sent To County Antrim Schools And Businesses

Police are investigating an email sent to multiple schools and businesses across County Antrim today, Tuesday 19 May 2026. Reassurance patrols have been increased, and anyone who notices suspicious activity is asked to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Police Investigate County Antrim Email

Police have confirmed they are investigating the contents of an email sent to several schools and businesses in the County Antrim area.

Reports were received today, Tuesday 19 May 2026, after the email was circulated to multiple locations across County Antrim and Antrim and Newtownabbey.

Officers are now carrying out a number of enquiries as part of the investigation.

Increased Reassurance Patrols

Police said reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the affected areas to help keep local communities safe.

Officers will also be engaging with those affected, including:

  • Schools
  • Businesses
  • Partner agencies
  • Local community representatives

Police are urging anyone who notices anything suspicious to report it.
