Local media reported that Garda Diarmuid O’Cadhla was detained by Martin O’Connell at John Horgan Quay in Cork and taken to the Mayfield garda station, according to his testimony. According to the charge, on June 16 at John Horgan Quay, the defendant violated the Criminal Justice (Public Order Act) by failing to comply with Garda O’Connell’s order to leave the area immediately in a peaceful and orderly manner after being discovered on the grounds of a building owned by the Port of Cork Authority.
