A court heard that a car was attacked with hatchets and crowbars before crashing into a van in Belfast as part of a rivalry between two families.
During a pursuit in the city’s south end on Saturday, police said the vehicles collided on purpose.
The crashes, which were captured on video and shared on social media, are thought to be related to a developing conflict among Travellers.
Three men appeared in Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday to answer questions about their suspected participation.
Noel Cawley, 33, of Oaks Road in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, is charged with reckless driving and drug possession.

Edward Gavan, 26, of Belfast’s University Street, and Brian Gavan, 28, of Belfast’s Eia Street, are both charged with criminal damage, affray, threats to kill, and public possession of offensive weapons.
They were allegedly among up to six guys in a white van who arrived when Cawley and an associate were parked outside a property on Donnybrook Street in a Volkswagen Passat.
Further accusations against Edward Gavan include dangerous driving and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
