Yesterday morning, officers from Belfast District Support Team conducting a proactive investigation into the supply of heroin in Belfast carried out a search of an address in Lisburn. This resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected heroin with an estimated street value of £100,000.
A car was later stopped in Belfast with the assistance of Police Interceptors and two males were arrested for drugs offences in relation to the earlier seizure.
A number of further searches were carried out in Belfast and Lisburn with the assistance of Tactical Support Group colleagues during which items linked to the drug supply trade were seized.
Two suspects remain in police custody, assisting with enquiries into this criminality.
